Eidolon

Eidlolon formed in 1988 when Ant Banister answered an add in the street mag On The Street placed by Albert Martinez for electronic musicians with an interest in dark bands such as Skinny Puppy and Cabaret Voltaire. Initially writing hard tracks with distorted vocals, by 1992 Eidolon were primarily an ambient act (with beats) using analog synths such as the Roland System 100, Sequential Pro One and the Roland Super Jupiter MKS-80, SH-101, TR-707 and S950 samplers. Rather than use drum machines, the drum sounds were all produced using monosynths and samplers and sequenced on an Atari STFM and Cubase 2. They have never broken up, so the band still exists to this day……..and so does the Atari
