Clan Analogue celebrate 33 years with Single Cuts 7-inch
Mobile Strategies Double A Interventions from Barbagallo and KOshowKO

Celebrating 33 years of legendary electronic music making in Australia and beyond, the electronic music collective Clan Analogue have marked the occasion with a limited edition commemorative vinyl release – Mobile Strategies Single Cuts: Double A Interventions by Barbagallo and KOshowKO.

Featuring two electronic indie-pop tracks originally released on the 2019 compilation Mobile Strategies: Battery-Powered Sonics, the Single Cuts 7-inch single is out now, available for ordering from the Clan Analogue Bandcamp page and in selected record stores.

Barbagallo is an Australian artist of French background whose day job involves touring the world playing drums in Tame Impala. In his own music he explores the songwriting traditions of his homeland, becoming a driving force in the world of progressive French pop. His track “Trek6” was composed on a Teenage Engineering OP-1 while on tour in the US as a present for his girlfriend who was in Nepal hiking in the Himalayas.

KOshowKO is the electronic music and digital art project of Polish-born, Australia-based music and video producer Martin K. Noted for iPad performances where he samples live on-the-fly from the audience, KOshowKO explores these techniques with the track “Neaty + Tidy”, created using two iPads and the sampled voice of Martin’s daughter.

The Mobile Strategies compilation, first released in 2019, collated 19 tracks by artists utilising entirely battery-powered portable gear to make electronic music in various styles (with an additional six bonus tracks on the Bandcamp version of the album!) “Trek6” by Barbagallo and “Neaty + Tidy” by KOshowKO are the two opening tracks of the album.

Included with the Mobile Strategies Single Cuts 7-inch single are a download code for the expanded Mobile Strategies compilation album of 25 tracks and a copy of the new print run edition of the Mobile Strategies gear zine, designed by Mytharia Jazz, which compiles artist and production information, with images, for all tracks on the album.
